I just came across another sword which was sold on e-Bay. The handle was black, the guard was a somewhat different shape and there was less gold on the scabbard. However, the blade markings were identical and it was also clearly Knights Templar. The seller listed yet a third manufacturer. In this case, it would appear that the manufacturer MIGHT be an indication of when it was made. But it would not be of use in identifying who it was made for (I assume none of the manufacturers exclusively made swords for Knights Templar).
