From other photographic depictions of early Trans-Mississippi it would appear to be similar. However, as this is a charcoal portrait it would be useful to know if this was drawn from life or posthumously.

IMHO CSA uniforms never reached a National standard, the particular styling and constuction varied depending on which depot was reponsible for the manufacture.
