Just got mine - Officer's Model. It's fantastic! I usually shoot a Sharpes Quigley but really like the Springfield more. Recoild is a little rougher but 1st time out i went through 80 rounds w/o too much pain the next day. Bought mine used at a great price. The rifle is an authentic reproduction but be careful if you buy a used on - Pedersoli will customize any of its guns - mine came with a verneer sight as opposed to the original barrel mounted ladder sight - But I'm switching to a competition Creedmoor anyway so that was no problem for me.

If you like single boomers and long range - P makes a good solid gun
