Has anyone ever run across a description or specifications for the "unique" (Todd's Equipage terminology)Reith knapsack as issued to Co. E, 44th Va. Reg't, ANV?
I assume Reith was a local Richmond early war contractor. Would appreciate any help.
We are organizing a traveling display available to schools in the N Nevada area, with emphasis on "Cow County" districts that afford very little for their kids. Would like to create the Richmond Zouaves uniform setup as an example of the early 1861 dandy uniforms.
