I am trying find out what if any weapons (small arms) the compnay that I am researching might have been issued. I have the Ordnance SGT's records (or at least what still exists, but have yet to find anything. Now for the particulars: The company inquestion is English's Battery MS Light Artillery (CS) out of Natchez, MS. I now that since they were an artillery company it might seem strange to ask about small arms, but they served as infantry (Provost Guard) for most of their service at Port Hudson. I have check all existing records at Natchez where they were organized, Fayette, where they were mustered in and Port Hudson where they served. I do not remember any thing in the records in Jackson either. Any help will be appreciated.
