I need some help. I have a Savage North 36 cal. revolver with all the correct goverment inspectors marks and is in 95% condition. My question is what units were these used by? I have two names given to me by the person I bought it from and both are common names and he wasn't sure which one it belonged since it was passed down in the family and he said both served in the civil war. I understand that five Missouri and two Kansas calvary units were issued these revolvers. I bought this one in Kansas. Can anyone tell me the units they were issued to? thanks in advance Larry
