Was watching Antiques Roadshow on local PBS Show. There were evaluating a supposed CW period sword (Grimswald [If I heard them right, not sure of spellin]) made in the South. Appearently they make these swords oversees (Yes I have a Genuine Pakistani One) and age it. Then sell them as 'authentic.' The one being evaluated was a fake, even tho it was aged. When I first saw it, looked 'real to me. The evaluator informed the sword owner that appearently swords made for the Union say US and the year made, along with maker and such. However, Confederate swords do not have CS or year. This sword did (CS and 1862). Just wanted to pass this on
