Any date on the blade? The M1860 staff sword has a straight blade and goes from around 300 in good shape with scabbard. It was made during and after the war. The M-1850 staff has a curved blade and is worth much more. Better be careful. Many of the "presentation" swords were made that way from unidentified swords to increase the selling price.
