Like Stan said most were in front of the trigger guard. About the only CW rifle I can think of that had the sling swivel behind the trigger guard were the short enfields. Here is a example I was going to post above but the file was too big. This is a bar on band enfield short rifle. Some of these saw CS use. The bayonet lug was attached to the front barrel band and not the barrel as was usually the case.
