Thanks Gary, appreciate your input. I am kinda leaning towards the 45-70. Pedersoli makes a 45-70 version ofthe Berdan Sharps, it's the 1874 Sharps Infantry. It's a beautiful gun and it's a Sharps - .006 Grooves 1in 18 twist, 30"barrel, 3 band, beautiful. The price on the other hand, not so beautiful. I guess I will have to save a little longer.
