Re: City of Philadelphia musket

Regarding the City of Philadelphia (PHILADA)mark on muskets. I have a M1812 transitional musket dated 1816. It has been converted to percussion via the added breech & bolster method and fitted with a M1855/61 type percussion hammer. The new breech is markde CITY OF PhiladA with the latter word formed in an arch. The name A. WUFFLEIN is also stqmped on the breech.
