Chief,
The Model 71 Rolling Block was made in the U.S. 50/70 Caliber at the Springfield Arsenal. It was also made by the Remington Company in a multitude of calibers for foreign governments. The particular markings on this piece howevee indicate that it was probably manufactured under license by a foerign government. From the letters FDRIS I have a hunch that the weapon has an Arab background.
