LOL. I know. I fired some original .43 ammo once. This being the same as the 44/70 Sharps I felt confident in its safety. I was right but I didn't press my luck. At present I have some original 56/52 Spencer ammo as well as a couple boxes of .44 Henry ammo in my collection. I wouldn't think of shooting them!!!! LOL
