I have recently purchased what looks to be a box plate, was told that it was original. Was looking for something to put on cartridge box. It is approx. 3"x2", egg shaped, and looks to be hand stamped. There is a piece of wire soldered to the back of it. I took it to some gun shows in the Buffalo, NY area to ask some questions about it, wanting to resoldered the back. I was told to put it up and not use it because it cannot be replaced. Tryed to download pictures but they are to big. If anyone has any info on this type of plate could you please let me know. I can e-mail the pictures of it to you.
