Dear sirs,

I know that this is a few years late, but hopefully it will be of interest to someone. I married a girl from Tallassee and have learned a lot about the history there since. Last week I visited the Chickamauga battlefield. In the visitor's center, they have a collection of firearms dating from the 1700's up to the 20th century. They have two Tallassee Carbines on display there in very nice condition. I will upload a picture that I took of the hammer plate with "CSA Tallasse, AL 1864" stamped on it when I can. After seeing the beauty of the weapon, I was interested in having one myself. If obtaining an original would be such a challenge, where could I find information on a reproduction? Thank you. I hope to hear from someone if anyone has any information.
