I spoke with Bob Serio at Missouri Boot and Shoe, in Neosho, Mo. he knew of a man who made them but couldn't/wouldn't attest to the correctness of them. So I called my friend and General of the Trans-Mississippi Brigade, Will Huckaby, the guy who recruited me into reenacting. He said he didn't believe them to be correct, especially West of the Mississippi.

So I came here,,,LOL I posted a picture of them to which to me is feasible especially for a Cavalry man who couldn't find boots but found brogans or Infantry in a especially snakey area,,,
