One last question. When wearing the M55 type scabbard compared to the scabbard with an independent frog, would I be correct to assume that the M55 would angle back when worn versus hanging straight down? This is something I am trying to find out to identify what scabbard is being worn by soldiers in a picture taken on Lookout Mountain in 1864.
