Rifle sling comes to mind.

Most muzzle loaders did not have slide rings or straps as the carbines did. I have read of cavalry using slinged muskets especially late war when many times they were fighting dismounted. They were also known to cut part of the muzzle off especially on P-53 enfields to make them easier to load and carry.
