First, what documentation do you have that proves this revolver was issued to the 6th Kansas Cavalry? Verbal claims in this day & age, just don't get it anymore. If you have documented evidence it was issued to the 6th, the next step would be to contact Springfield Research Service to see what proof they may have. If they don't have it, there isn't much hope to see who it was issued to. Wish you luck in this endeavor as a documented issued weapon is every collector's dream & very few exist.
