For reference, below are some bugles recently offered for sale. These are *unidentified* as to owner and as to whether they even actually saw service in the Civil War. The one you inquire about, if it has good provenance to a certain soldier or unit would be worth considerably more. If attributable to a famous unit, even more. Or if attributable to a Confederate unit or certain Confederate soldier, there would be a multiplication factor of at least five times these prices...maybe as much as ten to the right buyer on the right day.

Civil War Era Dovetailed BugleGerman mfg. mark on silver reinforced bell. Bugle has many small dents in it but plays well and has a lovely sound. A real Civil War Bugle at a reasonable price.$925.00

This Is The More Desirable German Silver Civil War Bugle.....The Type And Size Is Referred To As "Officers' Bugle" And Generally Associated With Cavalry Units But Could Also Be Infantry Or Artillery. There Are No Markings That We Could Find....The Great Old Relic Has Multiple Bumps Which Adds Character And Shows Actual Service.....$950.00
