I have an 1848 Robbins & Lawrence Mississippi in .54 cal. It is in exceptional condition and still has the original sights. The wood is almost perfect and it still has the original brass-tipped ram rod. Several years ago I had it examined at a Civil War show and all the appraisers said it is the genuine thing. What is something like that worth today in US$?
