Re: Found! Proper Felt to Make Wads!

Thank you for you web page. I am new to black powder and am, to say the least, a bit lost. The information on black powder and loading my guns from the different web sites that I have visited, while similar has created more questions than answers. I have recently purchased 3 black powder firearms, and want to be sure of what I am doing, so as not to blow myself up. The information on loading my .36 Caliber pistol seems clear enough, however, I am unable to find adequate information on loading for the two rifles that I have. One is a .50 and the other is a .577 Caliber. I have seen information that says you use a lubricated wad on top of the powder and then you use a lubricated patch to set the ball down the muzzle. Any suggestions that you have I would truly be grateful. Also your experience on the best way to clean the gun after firing. Thanks.

Jim
