Re: 1857 tower percuson rifle
In Response To: Re: 1855 Tower Enfield ()

hello, i have a rifle marked extensively with markings that, from what i've found, are typical of the tower rifles that i've found from many sourses. the difference in this rifle is that it has a "half" stock. i can not find another half stock or it's value anywhere. i don't have the computer knowledge to put pictures on line, but i'll discribe a little for you. 1857tower, brass fittings,1 wedge barrell removal, crown w/ VR stamped at rear of side plate,1-18 and 847 stamped on top of brass but plate, I64 and FSG and G and 357 on end (but) of butt plate, there are no sights, however there is a grove where the rear sight was. rifle is in very good+ cond. with a brown patina and no rust like pitting. hopefully someone has time and info to pass on. thank you so much. Bruce
