your flask is not an original. The Ames Peace flask has a collar at the top, where the cap (marked) is screwed in (for filling the flask). Your cap is a massive part that is fixed by some tiny screws. The spout of an original is adjustable, not a simple brass tube. The spout opening thumb piece with the spring is integrated in the cap and not open like the one on your flask. A close inspection with an original Ames flasks also shows differences in the form and arrangement of the shown things and the eagle although it resembles them.
