Might anyone know what small arms were used by Bradford's Cavalry Battalion (13th/14th TN Cav.) at the Battle of Fort Pillow April 12 1864 ?
My gg grandfather was in Company E which, along with Company D, was employed as skirmishers early in the battle.

I'm curious to know what type rifle he might have used & if privates were armed with revolvers and or sabre's.
