I couldn't possibly point you to any better AUTHENTIC 19th century clothiers than Jim did. These two vendors craft their wares after strict and exhaustive research of surviving specimens found in museums and private collections. You will pay good money but you will have accurate and durable items that will last and function like the originals. And you will "be accurate" on any field you take. I own quite a few items made by The Richmond Depot in Chesterfield, VA (www.kabar44.com). They do high quality work in a timely manner and their prices are only reflective of the quality and authenticity of their work. You can do a google search and find many reenactor clothing suppliers. You will not find ANY better than these two that Jim suggested. My first suggestion is to know what (or who) you are trying to portray and convey that information to the artists. They can and will point you in the right direction as far as materials used and the details such as buttons and trim. Both of these vendors are for serious reenactor impressions. The beauty is in the details. My favorite quote, being an artist myself is "Quality isn't expensive....it's priceless."
