I'm looking for descriptions of D guard Bowie knives and or regular Bowie knives made in Texas and carried into Arkansas early in the war. I read years ago about blacksmiths being kept busy making bowie knives for Texas troops headed to Arkansas. I'm not remembering where I read it. I'm looking for measurements and pictures of Texas made bowie knives from the Civil War.
