Confederate Firearms cache found in Corinth, 1940s

Does anyone here have information on a cache of seven or eight firearms found in a building in Corinth in the 1940's? The building was used to store weapons captured from Confederates at the Battle of Corinth and confiscated from Confederate citizens of Corinth during the occupation. This story comes from a man (a reliable source) who said he was present when these firearms were auctioned off, not long after they were found. The firearms were all of the CW period and were presumed to have been part of the stored captured Confederate weapons.

I have placed the following question on the Mississippi in the Civil War discussion board:

I have been told a of a building in Corinth that was the place that was used to store weapons captured by Union soldiers during the battle and confiscated from Confederate citizens during the occupation. It was in existence at least until the 1940's, if it is not still in existence. Can anyone identify this building?
