identifying rifle parts found

In Irvine, KY just days ago on a private farm, some relics were found. Among them was a brass trigger guard broken at the mount screw with the remaining mount bracket found ten feet away. They were just under the surface. I need to know what make the rifle was. It had a marking of an anchor with a "D" and "C" on opposing sides of the anchor. Where the guard mounts up into the stock, there was a "J" and the other letter may be an "S". Any info will be greatly appreciated.
