I only recently took time to read on www.lrml.org the lengthly article "Long Range Shooting: An Historic Perspective" by W.S. Curtis. I enjoyed the article very much and certainly learned something new. I would highly recommend that others read the article, should they have some interest in that subject.

I also took a look under heading "Collecting" to look again at the detailed photographs of the various collectors' weapons, especially the Whitworth rifles. Short of holding a Whitworth in my hands to see it close-up, the photographs are next best to learn what they are like. Thanks again for your post. ...Joe Ashley
