Identifying a muzzleloader rifle

I recently came across a very old muzzleloader that I am trying to identify. It appears to be a .69 caliber that has a rolling safety arm that prevents it from being fired. It has a date of 1842 and the markings "Mre de Pt Etionne" on the side of the receiver. The rifle is in outstanding shape, with no cracks in the wood or serious pitting on the metal. Since it was found in an attic in Detroit, I am assuming it was used during the civil war. Can anyone assist me in identifying it?
