I think the 2-band Enfield is the best looking Rifle of the WBTS! The Mississippi Rifle is a close second.

I have not heard of the Euroarms 2-band having a progressive depth barrel. (Would be nice)! The newer Parker Hale's may have that, but I am not sure.

The original 2-bands had a 1-48" twist, while the 3-bands had a 1-78" twist. (Except the 1858 Short Rifle with "bar on band" bayonet lug, with 1-78" twist) The heavier (thicker) barrel 2-banders were reported to be great shooters.

If you buy a replica, the twist will dictate what weight of bullet to use. The faster 1-48" twist will be better with a heavier bullet, where the 1-78" would handle lighter weight bullets.

But, the Brit's designed both rifle & Rifle musket to shoot their paper patched 530 gr Pritchett Ball ammo, with no apparent problem.

Hoyt & Whitacre both make good barrels, and I dearly wish I could go that route.

Again, point of aim, may not be point of impact on ANY rifle you buy. Nearly every replica in .58 cal I have tried with my load, has grouped well, but,( for example) the point of impact could be one foot to the left, 6" high at 50yards.

Experimentation will be the key word, and bullet molds don't come cheap! Once you find a load you like, treat it like you would a fine tuned engine...don't "fix" it, if it ain't broke!
