The Adams & Deane was a very well made and in my view a rather elegant .44. Exported by the London Armoury Company the state of Virginia purchased and received 999 of these revolvers as early as 21 Jan 1861. London Armoury also made the .44 Kerr. They managed to run 1000's of these through the blockade throughout the war.
