I was wondering if someone here might be able to help with this photo? I wish that I could post it but I don't know how? LOL

It would appear that the photo is that of a soldier from the late Mexican War era ie the flobby hat with polished brim. The daughtype and sorry for the spelling was found in Fredericksburg, Va.

My guess and believe me I am reaching here for I am NO authority in this field is that it might be a VMI student. Does anyone know where I might be able to see some photos of VMI students from the late 40's or early 50's so I might be able to compare the hat? The overcoat appears to be tinted blue.
