I have a 2 band enfield musket, which from the pictures i believe is a 1858 pattern enfield. It is marked on the front of the lock with Tower under 1857? It has the Victorian crown on the rear of the lock plate with VR below. The trigger guard, butt plate and stock nose cap are brass. The leaf sight is graduated to 900 yards and is marked L.A.C., there also is no bayonet lug on the barrel. It has the early WD mark next to the hammer, and along side that is a small victorian crown wit B 69 written below. It has a 33" barrel but like i say it has two bands buts is marked 1857. Can anyone give me any more iformation on what the markings mean, its rarity, and value.
Thank you in Advance.
Jon Watson.
