The difference between the flags at the MOC is that they used a lot of very solid evidence in making those changes - much of it coming from Howard Madaus, some from Ken, a few from me and others. None of their flag IDs have been changed unless there was solid paper trails to make that happen - and it should not be any other way. Even with that, in their book they still put asterisks next to the new IDs so that readers can tell what flag has been altered in terms of its ID and why.

There is no, and never will be, any substitute for solid historical evidence.
