Re: 100th Ohio & 8th Tenn. Flags Captured

My oldest son and I were in Iraq, to check up on my wife and her supervising construction projects (from the bombs). She should be out of there within the next two weeks. But now she has orders to go to Afghanistan, lol. Almost the whole family, just missing my three youngest sons. They are in their military schools and too young to be out here. My oldest son (Robert) is 16 going on 30, but he does not look 16, he is almost 6'5, 250ish. He is a cadet so this training will be good for him in the future. Plus he will gain tons of experience out here. But as I told him, he only stays in camp and never five feet away from me at all times. My camp is very secure, so secure, I feel very comfortable with my oldest son with me. My soldiers were showing him the ropes and teaching him how to load and handle a 50 Cal. Machine gun. I told him to keep a diary and write everything down he sees and hears, many decades from now, he can read what he wrote and pass it down to his kids, etc. He has taken many pictures, once in a life time experience.

Well other then it is cold and quiet here, nothing else to report.

Have a good day,

Shawn
