If you are not already doing so, please consider publishing your own "Flags of the Confederacy" book.
The wealth of info you Devereau, Howie, etc., had on the FOTC site was just the tip of the iceberg, I am sure, insofar as the total amount of data you have on hand.
It would be of immense interest and worth to the historical community should you be able to create such a book.
I, for one, would come off of some serious bucks for the chance to purchase such a fine and authoritative work, as I am constantly looking for info on various flag patterns -- now often in vain, since FOTC is (understandably!) offline.
In spite of what some have apparently done with your previously online research, please know that there are thousands of us out here in cyberspace who speak your name in the most reverential and hushed tones!
Thank you for all that you have done, all that you are doing, and all that you will undoubtedly do in the years to come! -- Jim Huffman, "Save the Battleflags" Committee, MS Division, SCV
