1st Florida Flag - Auction

The flag is described as:

FLORIDA STATE CONFEDERATE STARS & BARS FLAG.
This flag is said to have been designed by Nicola Marchall, the original version had 7 stars representing the states of the Confederacy; on March 14th, 1861 the first official use of the flag was at the inauguration of Jefferson Davis. The 8th star in this flag represents Virginia, which was added to the flag in May of 1861. There were many variations of this flag produced including 7 to 15 stars; this design was used through 1863.
This particular flag has 2 large red stripes centered with a single white strip; stenciled on the center stripe in black is "1st Florida, Shiloh". This flag includes the 8th star in the center representing the addition of Virginia. In overall good condition, has wear with in 3 of the outer stars, a small 1" tear within the lower red stripe and some light fraying around the outer edges.
Estimate$2,000 - 3,000.

I'm going to buy myself two.
