I have been searching the internet for captured Union flags and I came across a site with regimental detail maps. Which is a huge help.

They have at least 50 battles with all regimental detail. On the right side maps are old historical maps, not so much detail of course.
I am currently reading the book "Cavalry of the Heartland" "The Mounted Forces of the Army of the Tennessee" by Edward G. Longacre.
Very good so far, one of my friends mailed it to me. I was looking on Ebay and saw they have regimental histories on CD on several Union states. I prefer CD's out here, less load to carry around. But at home, I prefer books, just to add to the collection.
