The 29th Virginia infantry regiment missed all the big battles that the ANV had fought in. The regiment was in the Department of Eastern Kentucky and District of Abingdon, Department of Southwestern Virginia. Late 1862 they were attached to the Department of North Carolina and Southern Virginia. They stayed there till mid-1863 and then were attached to Corse's Virginia Brigade, Pickett's Division. The rest of 1863 they were in the Department of North Carolina and Army of Western Virginia and East Tennessee.

Listing of battles they were in with "Names".

Suffolk Campaign
Knoxville Siege
Plymouth Siege
Drewry's Bluff
North Anna
Cold Harbor
Petersburg Siege
Five Forks
Sayler's Creek
Appomattox Court House

Have a good day, Charles!
