Re: Army of the Cumberland Headquarters Flag 1863

I can send you a pic of the illustration of this flag that is in the 1887 Quartermaster's Book "Designating Flags Carried During the War of the Rebellion" (the original, not the 1997 reprint.) Just send me your email address through the Forum. (That goes for anyone.) It is more of a graphic illustration than the almost-photo quality beautiful silk-textured standards that appear earlier in the book, but it is a complete illustration of the flag, probably closer to the original, at least in time frame, than any other that I know of.

P.S. Sorry I couldn't make it to the Gettysburg show, but I was volunteering at the Breast Cancer benefit horse show my wife founded. She is a 10 year survivor, and the Ride for Life just finished it's seventh annual show. See the link below for a site that is not flag related, nor even Civil War related except that cavalry horses most definately made some of the maneuvers during battle that we call "dressage" today.
