The 29th Missouri lost their flag there as did the 76th Ohio who lost both regimental and national colors. Keith Bohannon's essay on the battle states that the 4th Iowa also lost a flag.

The Arkansas troops that took the Ohio flags returned them at a post-war reunion of the 76th Ohio.
