I've been reading with interest, the quality of the posting and back-and-forth between our "regulars" on this site. I couldn't be more proud that this message board has become such an outstanding gathering place for historical flag experts (vexillologists). Flag history and flag construction are NOT my area of expertise, but I can certainly appreciate and recognize a scholarly discussion.

Unfortunately, sometimes these "threads" breakdown into coarse and insulting discussions. It is my job to "steer" this site to a more thoughtful and controlled level of discourse. The message boards are well-suited to contentious and challenging exchanges, but these conversations MUST stop short of personal insults. Therefore, I will be filtering some of the communications on this message board, until we can "cool off" the rhetoric a little.

If your postings include insults or use profanity, in response to your fellow posters, your message will be blocked or redacted. I don't have a lot of time to edit postings, so if you include something in your posting that is unsuitable for this message board, your message will likely disappear "into the dark regions", never to be seen again.
