Several years ago in Sparta, TN there was an SCV grave rededication for General Dibrell. As an invited re-enactor, I attended. There was, at the time, a flag staff present, said to have been from Dibrell's regiment. This was in possession of direct Dibrell descendants. Also, last year a heritage museum was opened in Sparta, TN. I was allowed to see Dibrell's pommel holsters. These were not on display at the museum but in the hands of a man named Tubbs, a Dibrell descendant. Also, Dibrell's Colt Navy revolver is on display at this museum. It was purchaced by the museum through donations from across the region. It is engraved on the back strap: "From citizens and friends of Sparta Tennessee". It was bought from a private collector in CT.
