The 21st Mississippi admitted they captured a "National Flag" at or near the "Peach Orchard". Only the 3rd Maine Infantry regiment admitted they lost their "National Flag" in that area, so I have always believed that was the flag the 21st Mississippi picked up. Only the 3rd Maine (National Flag) and 11th US Regulars (Regimental Flag) admitted to losing a flag in the Official Records on Gettysburg.
