Re: Brookhaven Light Artillery
In Response To: Re: Brookhaven Light Artillery ()

I am the gg grandson of A.J. Hocutt (Hoocut/Hocut/or a dozen other spellings) but on his gravemarker it is spelt (correctly I might add) Hocutt then it states Hoskins Btty, Miss--I am writing this reply as my ancestor grew up and lived near here all of his life/ I believe the Hocut in lumsden battery was him---I have no earthly idea how he ended up in the Miss battery or why but I am trying to put this thing together; just got in from Vicksburg and did some research there and still found much of nothing any help you can give would be appreciated. Any hard docs that were micro filmed would be great. I also have some pics of this man---Greg Fanin
