They were a huge help for me while working on captured Pennsylvania Colors. But Richard left several flags captured, but did not list where and by whom. The 99th PA and 83rd PA are prime examples in his books. Now the 83rd PA could have lost their flag or colors at Seven Pines, Gaines' Mill, Second Bull Run, Overland Campaign, Petersburg, ETC. Many battles that regiment took large losses.
