What flag flew over Meade's headquarters during the last year of the war, and was generally referred to as "the Hq Flag"? It is, I believe, also the one carried just behind him during the Grand Review of May 1865. Was it the National color with, perhaps, identifying lettering? Or was it that swallow-tail (the colors illustrated range from pink to brown) flag, with spread-eagle in a wreath (Grant is said to have remarked "Take me to Caesar!" when he first saw it)?
