Shawn's flag on Mustang Island

Shawn, I found the flag that was captured at Mustang Island. It was in a book about Texas flags it belong to William Maltby's company that was officially part of the 8th Texas Infantry. "It was constructed from two layers of of light red wool cloth displaying a blue St. Andrew's cross. Twelve white cotton stars formed a twenty-two inch circle in the middle of the flag. a largetoldted lone star in the center of the cross proclaimed it a Texas flag." "one of the union regiments, the Fifteenth Maine, captured the unusual red flag that flew over the fort and returned it to their home state, where it remained until 1927."
